Food, Zoo Animals, and Thrifting

Hey all!  What a crazy busy and relaxing weekend we have had over in the a la mode household.  I’m back with my camera phone photos to share the fun with you and linking up to a {little} dash of ash’s linkup party.

Last week, Marv and I went to the Hyvee Grand Buffet, and GRAND it was!  😉

This week’s pregnancy cravings were 7/11 slurpees (coke/white cherry flavor mix) and anything caramel (these happen to be salted caramel oatmeal white chocolate chip cookies thanks to Created By Diane).

On Saturday morning, Marv and I participated in the Kansas City Zoo Fun Run where we walked a total of about 3-4 miles?

And then we went to our favorite little thrift shop in town where I scored a lamp shade that I’ll show you later.

Some other highlights from the weekend are that we were finally able to use up a Groupon for a pizza place, we signed over our old house to new tenants (WOOHOO!), and had a craft/game night with friends that contained a lot of food as well.  In other words, the house is still a mess and we didn’t have much time for unpacking… but we’ll get there, someday.  Also, on Saturday and Sunday morning Marvin played games with baby a la mode.  Marvin would tap him in a certain spot and then he’d tap/kick back~!  It went on for quite awhile both mornings, so sweet!  And I’ve got my glucose tolerance test on Monday morning, I hope I pass it!
