Chambray Shirt: Forever 21 | Skirt c/o Conversation Pieces | Shoes c/o My Hot Shoes | Earrings: Gift from Much Love, Illy {similar}

Wanna know something crazy?  I used to hate the color red, a lot.  Pink was always my thing (and it still is) and since I never was brave enough to wear pink and red together except on Valentine’s Day, red was always left out of the picture.  Only recently did I start to realize that all colors were created equally, thus shall be treated as equals.  My favorite place to wear red, and for others who are afraid to, is in contrast with black and white.  It works, period.

And chambray?  Well it just adds the perfect amount of casualness to make the black/white/red make you not look too intense.  Add in some stripes, florals, and bows.  Boom, you’re good to go.

What colors have you always been afraid of (but will promise me to step out of your comfort zone and try)?

    I love how you’re wearing the chambray shirt! It looks SO good with stripes! This is giving me ideas… I can honestly say I’m not afraid of any color, but I definitely don’t wear very many neutrals. I always have to have something bright on. So maybe I’ll try mixing neutral outfits together!

    I love the pop of red! It is the perfect amount. I don’t know if I hate any color…I am not too quick to wear neon because I feel like I will look like I did in elementary school. So many girls wear it though and don’t look like the horrible 80s that I am remembering.

    I have a really similar striped skirt, so I’m going to keep your outfit in mind the next time I wear it! I love the subtle little hint of red with the classic black and white.

    I don’t own much purple, other than one purple dress. For some reason, I like the color itself but not so much for clothes.

    I really like this outfit! so nice with your hair color :) I also LOVE your shoes! I need those kinds of shoes (if mom will let me buy them!) because i’m a quarter of an inch shy of 5′. and i’m pretty much done growing. I MIGHT grow and just barely reach 5′ but it’s doubtful!

    My scary color is definitely yellow. I’ve been working on trying out more yellow tops. I even have a pair of yellow wedges. My crowning achievement will be wearing the yellow skinny jeans I bought but have not been brave enough to wear yet. :)

    I’ve always been shy of the color red too… I don’t know what it is, but red is just such a bold, attention-catching color. I very much like to blend in the crowd, which explains my love for black, white, and grey so much. :)

    Love the earrings! They’re cute!

    Cute outfit girlie. Love the combination of stripes and florals. Your shoes are too cute. I’m happy you gotten over your fear of red. It’s such an amazing color for clothes and it looks great on you.

    As for a color I’m afraid of, I can’t really think of any color that I wouldn’t, at least once. I just love color I guess. ;)

    I keep trying to think of an answer to your question… but I don’t have one. I kind of wear every color. Is that weird?

    I’m loving the entire outfit. The red certainly pops and accentuates your waist. And those shoes are so fun!!! I am afraid of yellow, actually.

    I’ve honestly never really liked red on me; I usually go for burgundy instead. But I love the pop of red in your outfit, especially with those cute floral shoes!

    Love this outfit! I used to be afraid of black, thinking it made me look pale. I have to admit I shy a bit away from red and orange. I love it on other people, but don’t know if it looks good on me. I think the red belt is the perfect solution for me! (That or shoes I guess) Adorable as always! Have a great weekend, V
