Wearing Shorts In Colder Weather

Aloha from Hawaii, friends!

For this post, I wanted to focus on shorts as being a versatile item in a wardrobe.  Why?  Because they are great for both warm weather AND cold weather.  It’s obvious why they are so great for warm weather but I totally think they are wearable into Fall/Winter with a great pair of tights and boots.  And if you are in to colored tights, a great pair of neutral or neutral patterned pants can go with tons of tights colors and basic tan boots!  For this outfit, I went with a whole lot of neutrals again (like the previous post) and added pops of color in the scarf and tights… not just any colors, but pink and mint (my fave colors of this past Spring)!

On a separate note, I just wanted to send my wishes to those being affected by Hurricane / Superstorm Sandy.  Wishing that you are able to stay safe and that the recovery process is as painless as possible.  Over the past weekend there was also an Earthquake in Canada that sent a Tsunami warning to Maui but luckily it was a non-event before we headed on down here.  All this crazy weather going on is so scary!  :/

   This is such a cute look! I love layering shorts with tights when it gets cooler, and even adding thigh-high socks over that in the really cold weather

   I love the lace detail on the back of your top + how cute you look with the tights and shorts combo!! I’m just waiting for cooler weather so I can bust out my tights!! 77* is just a tad too hot for tights!
