Blouse: Forever 21 | Leather Jacket: NY & Co. | Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Nordstrom’s | Purse: Chanel | Necklace: Groopdealz

I am usually all about color, but lately, I’ve also been drawn immensely to black and white pairings.  Maybe it’s because I’ve decided that I need to add more classic pieces to my wardrobe and nothing says more classic than black and white.  I wore this outfit for the Kansas City Fashion Week Friday night event.  I love that it’s got a mix of items purchased from some way affordable places, but once you add heels and Chanel to an outfit, it becomes instantly more dressy.

And it’s a little ironic that I’m posting these photos with a snow filled background, when I got to bask in 70 degree sunny weather today.  Don’t hate me.  ;)

Thank you Meggy for taking these pictures for me!  I’ll be linking up to Because Shanna Said So, The Pleated Poppy and Style Elixir with this post!

What item in your wardrobe is your go-to for instantly dressing up an outfit?

Your outfit is so classy. I love the pairing of leather and lace. I am usually a girl who doesn’t shy away from colors either but it is hard to deny how stylish and chic a combo of black and white is.
