 {MEET THE SHOP OWNER}

1) Tell us a little bit about you, your shop and how you got started.
Hi, my name is Magdalene. I started making jewellery during 2009 as a hobby while working full time. I slowly began loving the process of connecting things together and complete into a piece of wearable jewellery. I was so excited and started to fill up my supplies and buying started while holidaying overseas and online shopping for materials. I moved to live in Queenstown from Christchurch City, New Zealand, that was after the 22 February 2011 earthquake and without a job then and I told myself that I better start to bring in some income that was when For The Girls was created and I have been selling my pieces at markets in this lovely township. Now, armed with a full time job and I am very contented how this hobby has turned into a part-time business. For The Girls products have been very successful selling at the markets. I manage every aspect of For the Girls, including online store, both selling at the markets, processing orders, creating & making jewellery, material sourcing. Currently, I am in love with hand sew women’s accessories and still learning how to use a sewing machine for future crafts.

2) What are your favorite color combos?
My favourite colour combos are red (watermelon red) + Aqua Green + Mustard and Yellow + Peach

3) What jewelry piece can you not live without?
