I hope this is the first of many Mommy and son outfit photoshoots this year, but that all depends on if my 2 year old agrees to take “pic-chas” with me or not.

More and more, I have been getting into toddler fashion and kind of obsessing over it (at least they can wear clothes for at least 6 months – 1 year now, instead of switching every 3 months)!  My little guy can fit into anywhere from 12M – 3T clothing (depending on the brand) and it’s exciting to dress him up like a hipster, little man, or whatever my heart desires.  When my husband and I go shopping and he picks out something for Austin that I am not a fan of, I just pass it off as “That’s not Austin’s style”.  😉  But really, lately, I have been letting the little guy pick out his outfits by giving him choices between red pants or neon green pants, striped coat or navy coat, mustard hat or grey hat, etc. and I think he enjoys it because it gives him a sense of independence which is the stage that he is going through now.  He is fighting to do everything all on his own but needs a helping Mama (or Papa) hand once in awhile.  🙂  And I’m helping him build his personal style at a young age.  However, we may be in trouble because anytime he wants something (whether it be toys, food, etc.) and we say there is no more, he says “I’ll buy it”.  EEEEKS!  He didn’t get that from me…
