Cats, Dots and Buffalo Checks

A couple weeks ago, I met up for a lunch date with my blogger buddies Meggy and Erin over at Blue Bird Bistro in the Westside area of Kansas City!  I love this restaurant because it’s quaint, they use all local and fresh ingredients and come up with flavorful menu options!  I got hummus and chicken pizza and it was quite delicious.  The girls and I chatted about life, blogging, and just spent some time catching up since the last time we had met up.  And since the roads were packed with snow (and the restaurant was pretty empty since most people probably didn’t even want to leave their house that day), we had quite some room to take outfit pictures for each other.  :)

I saw that this vest was on super sale at Madewell and I just couldn’t pass it up.  Maybe I’m still trying to fill by fur vest void but this vest is super warm and right on trend (hope buffalo check is popular through the next few winters)!  Also, wearing calf high socks with my calf height boots is like one of my other fashion fave things to do.  This outfit definitely kept me warm in the snowy weather.

  1. Great combo Sandy – the plaid and print go perfectly together! I’ve been MIA for a while and don’t think I had seen your new blog layout yet – it looks fantastic!

  2. It really is fun catching up with friends especially if they share the same interests as yours! That´s a lovely bag and how cute is that cat printed shirt. :)

  3. What a cute little place! I love the mosaic tiled floors. So wonderful you got to meet up with your blogger friends! Always fun to get together and chat with like-minded people :) Your outfit is adorable! I am a huge fan of the boots and socks look.

  4. i have a similar vest! also this place is adorable – sort of reminds me of the entrance of the studio in the tv show parenthood. that door – love it!
