My Korean Skincare Routine with SKYN BOX by Utah fashion blogger Sandy A La Mode

A few of you have asked about my Korean skincare routine as of late, and I am excited to share that I actually recently started a new one that I love love love! You guys, there was a point in time where all I would use is Cetaphil to wash off my makeup, and then whenever my mom came to stay with us, she would hand me a wipe and make me re-wipe my face because there would always be makeup residue left over. I have to admit, I probably went years with never really washing my face REALLY well or moisturizing or using any eye cream or anything! Gosh, and now I won’t ever be able to get those years back, I ain’t getting any younger. 🙁

So I have to also admit that a few years ago when I was on a girl’s trip in New York, I purchased a set of Korean beauty snail cream, emulsions, toners, etc… and it sat in the box. One day I pulled it out and started using it but realized I had no idea in what order to use them in and how to apply them. I used them for a few weeks and then as most of my habits die.. this did too. But enter SKYN BOX and now I am back at the K-beauty routine, except there’s just a few more steps involved, well maybe a lot more. There are many variations of the process and can include anywhere from 8-10 steps daily. The Korean skincare routine philosophy includes layering products and focusing on hydration to prevent and cure skincare concerns. But what I LOVE about SKYN BOX, is that they make it easy and accessible, all in one BOX. I received the Combination Premium Box and it’s basically a starter kit for a daytime AND nighttime Korean skincare routine.

So guys, for the sake of not being too repetitive, you can go to the SKYN BOX blog to learn about what each product and step in the process is actually doing for your skin. And here is each of them (items in the SKYN BOX) listed out. Also, some of these steps are only 2 x a day and not every day, but the majority are every day.

  1. Cleansing oil – Banila Co Clean It Zero for Combination/Normal skin
  2. Foaming Cleanser – Mamonde Lotus cleanser
  3. Toner – The First Skin Softener
  4. Essence – Secret Key Starting Essence
  5. Emulsion – IOPE Super Vital Emulsion
  6. Eye Cream – Mizon Collagen Power Firming Eye Cream
  7. Cream – Ohui The First Cream Intensive
  8. Sunscreen – Laneige Sun Block Sunpreme (SPF50+ PA+++)
  9. Exfoliator – Aqua Reveal Satin Bright Water Peel
  10. Sheet Mask – Mystery Mask for Combination Skin

I just love that the box also comes with an Instruction guide on what to use first and next and HOW to apply everything. They also come in manageable sizes and altogether I feel like you get a great deal with all of these sample sizes (the real sizes of all of these are NOT cheap). It’s a game changer y’all. Oh and plus, a lot of the creams and lotions smell really good too! 🙂 And let me tell you, after just a week of use, I can tell a difference in my skin. It’s softer and firmer and Marvin even mentioned that it looks like it’s more “glowy” and he hardly ever notices things like that.

I know that everyone’s skin is different and reacts differently to products, so this may not work for everyone, but so far I am loving it and can’t wait to continue to use it. I’d really love to get to the point where I can be confident to go makeup-less – well I’d still have eyelash extensions and lipstick, probably. 😉
