As I’ve been getting older, getting gray hairs, and getting slower at reacting to things (OK, maybe it’s not that dramatic yet), skincare is another area that I’ve really been focusing on. Sure, I’ve got those Asian genes that make me look like I’m still in high school, but if you look up closely, I’ve got crow’s feet around my eyes, fine lines and wrinkles popping up out of nowhere. I’ve recently discovered the Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream but was skeptical about all that it says it does, especially since it has a low price tag (there really are so many expensive creams out there but does that mean those work better than this?) The product claims to visibly reduce wrinkles Day 1, improves skin elasticity by Week 2, and reduces the look of up to 10 years of wrinkles by Week 4 (say what? I am sold).
At the Good Housekeeping Institute, their scientists and experts rigorously test products and evaluate them on a variety of factors. They tested the anti-aging Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream formula, against 10 prestigious creams found in department stores. Some of the findings were that Olay came out on top in that it was:
- Fast-acting: at the three-hour mark, Olay moisturized 400% better than other creams 18 times the price.
- Long lasting hydration: In blind comparisons, consumers felt that Olay was “rich” without being too heavy.
- Firming & plumping ingredients: Formulated by powerhouse ingredients, like niacinamide and hyaluronic acid, Olay impoved skin’s texture by 10% in four weeks.
See more of the GHI study here. I’ve used the product day and night after a cleansed face. I have to say that I really do LOVE the smell and feel of it. It’s soft and immediately hydrating. I don’t have to use a lot at a time, which means it will last longer! And the $26.99 price tag for a 1.7 fl oz container makes it definitely worth trying.
Here is a little before and after shot of my skin after 3 days. It may be hard to tell, but I definitely feel like some lines are reducing in appearance and I do feel like my skin is more hydrated! It was hard to match the exact lighting and minimal makeup 3 days later but I can tell that my skin is feeling firmer and more hydrated!
Have you tried this Olay product before? What are your thoughts?
