So the last time I wore this dress for the blog was for my gender reveal video.  If you haven’t seen it before, you should check it out, I am absolutely in LOVE with the video.  And here are some pretty family photos to go along with it.  So when I put together this outfit for my little girl, I thought it would be the perfect chance to re-wear this same outfit (to coordinate with her) and take pictures with her.  This Dream Catcher Baby dress is slightly a bit big for her, but it only means that she can wear it all through Spring and Summer, which I am totally looking forward to already!  And the dress can turn into a tunic as she grows taller and taller!  I am all about making the most out of baby clothes since they don’t last long in nature!  :(  Gosh, I just LOVE her!

And don’t forget to check my Instagram as there will be a giveaway for a Dream Catcher Baby dress over there!!

On the weekends, I live in leggings.  Like seriously, sometimes on Saturday and Sunday I wear the same pair and I don’t even care. My favorite way to take them from casual to dressy is wearing them with a tee (gold sleeves are definitely a bonus), kimono, heels and a fun clutch. Kick my heels off and put my clutch in my handbag shelf and this is the perfect outfit for lounging around at home as well.

I hope you guys are loving this Mama and Daughter outfit series as much as I love shooting them with my baby girl.  Knock on wood, she has cooperated through most of them and I hope this trend continues.  Even if she has skipped her nap, she’ll still be all smiles in front of the camera, which is just INSANE.  But I guess she just loves the camera — go figure since she is a fashion blogger’s daughter haha!  Someone recently reminded me that once baby girl starts crawling, skirts will get in the way, so basically this is why I am soaking up this time where she can wear skirts now and then again once she is walking.  I just love throwing on a skirt for her over leggings, it just adds a girly touch and makes pattern mixing that much more fun.

***I received a Dell XPS 13 for review purposes, but all opinions expressed and pictures are my own.***

Dell xps 13 laptop quad display sandyalamode

The only laptops I have ever really owned in life, are my work laptops. However, since I usually like to keep my work and blog separate, we’ve always had a desktop PC at home where I would do my blogging work. Whenever I used to travel for work, I’d have to do my blogging and picture editing at nights from my work laptop which isn’t ideal, so I’ve always wanted to have a separate blogging laptop for being on the go.  So when I was contacted to review a Dell XPS 13 Ultrabook, I just had to jump at the chance.  The Dell XPS 13 is the smallest 13-inch laptop on the planet fitting a stunning 13.3-inch display in an 11-inch laptop. It has an infinity display and comes in weighing only 2.6 pounds, so light! It is a high performance laptop with a 5th generation Intel processor and really great battery life (more to come on that)!

A couple weekends ago, I attended my first Build Your Blog Conference.  It was a blogging conference held in Salt Lake City where bloggers can learn about how to grow their blogs and also find some new brands to collaborate with.  I brought my Dell XPS 13 along with me to take notes and do a little blogging while on pumping breaks (yes, I said it, that’s my life every few hours).  On the first day, I probably booted up my laptop 4 times and used it for about 30 minutes or so each time to take notes and surf blogs. I even got compliments from others on how crystal clear and high quality the screen was. After the first night, I did not charge the laptop and put it in Sleep mode and the next day I used the laptop 3 times for about 30-45 minutes as well.  By the end of all of that, the laptop still had its charge and still had more than half of it’s battery left to use.

The Dell XPS 13 comes in a variety of different models, varying from different amounts of memory, touch and non-touch screen, and lots of add-ons too.  Mine came with a touch screen which is always a cool option to have as well as a Dell Power Companion that acts as an additional charger and is perfect for those on the go.  Dell really knocked it out of the park with this laptop and I think it’s the perfect for those who are always on the go (like me) and are looking for the best technology in a stylish design with the utmost mobility.

IMG_0195Hello pink wall again, you are the best and I wish I could have you in my backyard.  For those of you curious, this is in Provo, UT, but I couldn’t tell you where exactly…  I get a lot of questions about how I “do it all”, and my answer for now is that my parents are here to help us out with the kids (and they live with us) and that has been the biggest help.  I don’t have to worry about Vivian much while I am work because she is at home with them, they help cook for us, and just help keep us sane when Austin acts out from his terrible threes sometimes.  My dad recently just left to head back home and on the day he left, we spent the morning in Provo, UT.  It was a fun little adventure as I always think it’s fun to explore a new town, and college town are just the most fun.  I grew up in Ann Arbor, MI right by the U of M so we’d always pretend we were college groupies. ;)  We had lunch at Black Sheep Cafe, which is like Native American inspired food and then the waiter came out and said they had a delicious signature lemonade, I was sold right there and then. Soon enough though, my mom will be heading back to California and the true adventure of being a family of four, having to cook and clean for ourselves and taking Vivian to daycare along with Austin will begin.  And then time will be even more precious and I will have to say “no” to more things to keep to keep sane.  Or I’ll just have to bring the kids along to more events (I commend parents who can do that)!  But really, what are your tips for “doing it all”?  How do you manage to blog along with doing life?  Do you blog only at night?  Or write multiple posts at once???

By the way, I am obsessed with this top from Filly Flair.  It’s got a little romance in the shoulders and this top is soft and long enough to cover my torso (I have a problem with shirts being too short sometimes, anyone else?)
