I’m back with this month’s post of the Mama Daughter Style Series collaboration with my good Mama friends with adorable baby girls! This month’s post is all about Spring Shoe Trends for Women with Rack Room Shoes! According to Rack Room Shoes Spring trend shoe style report, jeweled sandals, wedges, bright colored shoes, ankle shoes, and boat shoes are just some of the different types of shoes that are in this season. So for my outfit, I decided to show how I style up jeweled sandals, while my friends Chasing Davies, Lipgloss and Crayons, Sparkling Footsteps and Coconut Robot show off some of the other trends.

Sandy a la Mode | Mommy and Me Fashion Florals and Pink

Sandy a la Mode | Mommy and Me Fashion Florals and Pink

This Mommy and me outfit is all about wearing Spring florals and pops of pink! Pink has always been my favorite color… ever and I just love dressing up my baby girl in it too. And actually it’s currently Austin’s favorite color too so our house is just brimming with pink lovers and my husband is feeling kind of left out (his favorite color is blue for the record).  Anyhow, I am in LOVE with this dress and the gorgeous floral print so so much! It does flatter my figure quite well but I’ll be the first to admit I am wearing Spanx underneath to hold it all in, because this mama belly is still like jelly. Vivian’s little sweater under her romper has a cute little floral print as well and that striped romper with bare feet, I’m in love. :)

Sandy a la Mode | Baby Food - Banana Pear Puree with Blendtec

Baby girl is 7 months old, time is flying and I just can’t believe she is growing up so fast!  For the first 5 months of her life or so, she was pretty much drinking breast milk and some formula, and just recently we have started introducing some rice cereal and solids.  I’ve always been told to introduce foods slowly and one at a time for babies, as you never know what type of allergies your baby may have and it’s always good to be cautious. One of the first foods we ever fed to Vivian was bananas. I just love her little face when the spoon touches her mouth and her tongue feels its away around that “strange texture” of food. It’s just too cute. We had been feeding her bananas for weeks… when I figured we needed to mix things up.

Sandy a la Mode | Fashion Blogger Graphic Tee and Pretty Skirt at Utah State Capitol

Sandy a la Mode | Fashion Blogger Graphic Tee and Pretty Skirt at Utah State Capitol

If you can’t tell, these photos were taken at the beautiful Utah State Capitol.  I just love this spot for an outfit location (in case anyone is looking) because there’s great spots indoors, in front of the building, with the trees, walkways, just lots!  It’s hands down one of my favorite places to take photos in Salt Lake City. We took these pictures pretty close to golden hour and the light was just gorgeous. However, you probably can’t tell, but it was one of those random freezing days of Springs even though 2 days before it was 80 degrees!  (And right now it’s snowing again, ugh!!)

For this look, I’ve paired a graphic tee with one of the prettiest Shabby Apple skirts I ever did see. The pink and gold design is absolutely stunning and it’s even more amazing in person. I love this top as it’s got one of my favorite words on it, repeated many times, AND it’s got gold on it.  I love gold… but apparently my son says he loves all the colors, except silver and gold, go figure!! Anyways, I think that graphic tees and skirts, heels, and fun accessories is a great combination for an outfit that can be worn for work, going out with friends, date night, anything!  You can wear a more casual skirt or a dressy skirt like mine.  You can wear sandals, flats, or fancy heels like mine.  Either way, you should probably pair it with a statement necklace like this gorgeous T+J Designs one.

Sandy a la Mode | Fashion Blogger - Coachella festival look

Sandy a la Mode | Fashion Blogger - Coachella festival look

This outfit goes a little off the beaten path but I still love it – this bohemian style is “what I would have worn if I went to Coachella music festival”, but I probably won’t actually be able to make it to the festival until my kids are 18.  The store that I got the dress from was one that I recently discovered called Shop Love June and it is a beautiful online boutique with a collection that makes me keep wanting to go back for more.  They’ve got a mix of trendy, classic and bohemian styles and for this outfit I decided to let this pretty print of a dress stand out as I styled it with neutral shoes and accessories.  I am a true sucker for prints and color and sometimes it just makes it easier to get dressed in the mornings as you can let that one piece that has a lot of patterns and prints be your stand out piece of your outfit while everything else is neutral or more plain. This is especially great if you are afraid of or not a fan of pattern mixing. Inspired by my baby girl and her love of headbands, I decided to wear one with this outfit as I think it adds more of that bohemian flair to the whole thing.
