Hi friends! I feel like it’s been forever since I’ve been a Flavors To Follow but don’t worry, I didn’t forget about it.  In my two year blogiversary feedback, many of you said that you loved these posts so I felt like it was about time I owed you one.  This week’s current obsession is color blocking.  This trend has been around for a couple months now but I’ve finally just got around to embracing it.  It’s basically where you pair a few bold colors and wear them together, or the colors can appear in a single item.  There’s so much you can do with this as the color combinations are endless!  Some of my faves are turquoise + aqua, black + white + coral, cobalt + turquoise, neons + neutrals and green + yellow!  Here’s a few items I have found and love!

{MEET ASHLEY}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you decided to open up shop?
My name is Ashley Marie Wilson and i’m a wife and artist. I blog over at Luce where I share my creative inspirations, daily journey and desire for the spirit of love to saturate the world. I decided to open a shop while shopping for a friends baby shower. I was looking for cute hair accessories for the baby but didn’t like anything that was in the stores. Her mom is a fashion stylist so I definitely wanted to get her something that was fashionable. So I went home and made something that I knew her mom or I would wear, but just in a smaller size. I decided then I would make a whole line of hair accessories that could be custom fit for any size lady…newborn to adult. Little one’s can be fashionista’s too

2) Where do you draw your inspiration from?
I look at anything I design as art so each hair piece has to have a certain “feel” or “mood” to it. I also love mixing edgy and feminine or doing something a little unexpected. I love when things have a slight vintage touch too so that flows into the designs.

3) What are you looking forward to most this Winter?
I am looking forward to having plenty of snuggle time with my husband. In the summer we love to explore the city, in the winter we’re like little bears who love being in the house. We are in the process of starting a business together so this winter will be alot of business planning and brainstorming. We are super excited!

4) What is your favorite holiday dessert?
Want to know the truth? I totally don’t have a sweet tooth. I am the one random person never really indulging in sweets around the holidays. I’m more of a fried foods lover, terrible huh? But if I had to choose something… probably pumpkin cheesecake. I fell in love with it years ago while working at The Cheesecake Factory. Super yummy.
