I Am So Honored

…to have been nominated for 3 blog awards in the past few weeks!

When I first began this little blog of mine, I really didn’t know where it was going to take me or how many bloggy friends I would meet.  I must say, whatever expectations I had, have surely been exceeded!   I just want to take this time to THANK all of you for reading, commenting, caring, and making suggestions!  Every time I see a comment come through, it puts a smile on my face! 🙂

The lovely Aubrey from A Daily Obsession and the crafty Erica from Sweets and Hearts have awarded me with:

    Thank you so much ladies!

For the “Beautiful Blogger” award you need to:
    – Thank the person who nominated you and link to their blog.
    – Copy the award and paste it to your blog.
    – Tell us 7 interesting facts about yourself.
    – Pass this award on to 7 fantastic bloggers you have discovered.
    – Contact your nominations and let them know they’ve won.

Here are my 7 interesting facts that you may not have known about me:

    1. I have one far sighted eye and one near sighted eye so I pretty much don’t need to wear glasses!

    2. I went to college at Michigan, my husband went to Ohio State, which means that at least one day out of the year (game day) we have a right to be mad at one another.

    3. I am an “Expert Traveler”.

    4. I can do the splits, but only with my right leg forward.

    5. I used to be able to do an aeriel in gymnastics and a single axel in figure skating! Not anymore though…

    6. I have full on conversations with my stuffed animal kids.  Oh, you know you do it too!

    7. I am a mystery shopper and I love it!

Now I pass this award on to these 7 lovely bloggers:

    1. Annie at Annie Banana

    2. Em at Hip Hip Gin Gin

    3. Amy at Junghwa by Amy Stewart

    4. Ashley at Honey Suckle Chic

    5. Helen at Sonshiny Days

    6. Brandi at Not Your Average Ordinary

    7. Helena at A Diary of Lovely

***

And Jozen from Lola’s Girl has nominated me for the

Kind of funny that it also has the same rules… say 7 things about myself and pass it on to 7 other bloggers!

So here goes ANOTHER 7 facts about me…

    1. My all-time favorite drink is boba milk tea.

    2. I have Chinese folk danced with ribbons, fans, umbrellas, chopsticks, cups, and plates.

    3. When I was in 1st grade,  my brother took me to piano practice on his bike, where I was sitting on one of the rails.  Apparently I fell asleep, stuck my foot in the front wheel, fell face forward and had a rock stuck under my eye from 1st-4th grade. It was not pretty.

    4. My brother’s name is Andy and my name is Sandy. We used to have a cat and her name was Mandy.

    5. I am a shopaholic, and more recently a fabricaholic.

    6. I am extremely indecisive, I think?

    7. My husbands and my parents met before we were born.  My husband’s dad went to college with my dad’s brother.  Small world!

Now I pass this award on to these 7 lovely bloggers:

    1. Nani at Orange Girl Big World

    2. Anna at In Honor of Design

    3. Lou at Happy Serendipity

    4. Mira at Mira Uncut

    5. Cindy at Milk Tea + Polkadots

    6. Ashley at The Creative Place

    7. Diana at One Crafty Fox

Thank you again to Aubrey, Erica and Jozen for nominating me.  If you haven’t visited their blogs before, you’re really missing out!  I truly feel so honored and humbled to have received these lovely awards.  🙂 Now to those lovely bloggers I have tagged, the baton has been passed!

P.S. Thanks to my brother-in-law (who makes my design ideas a reality), I have a blog button!  It’s over on the left side so feel free to grab it and add it to your blog if you like!  🙂  In the future, I’d like to find some space to add your blog buttons as well but I’m debating on whether to change over to a 3 column layout or expand my right side bar to be able to hold 2 columns, I’m thinking I’ll need to reduce the space of the green background too.  I really don’t want to cut down the size of the main body, maybe I’ll just make all of the font smaller, oh decisions decisions!!

Congratulations! LOL, do you think your indecisiveness leads to your fabricaholic-ness?

    Thank you so much!

My parents have a similar “rivalry” to yours. My dad also went to Michigan and my mom went to Michigan State – not quite as intense as the UM-OSU rivalry, but it still makes game days more interesting.

    Thanks again!

  9. April 19, 2010 / 1:08 pm

Sandy! Thank you so very much! I wish I could give you a big hug — you have no idea how honored I am. I used to ice skate as well, but only worked my way up to a half axel; I started late (in my early teens) and was already too tall to not fear my falls to the ice. And I want to know what you’re going to do with all that fabric — please do tell!

Nice shout-out to our fam, cuz!

FYI – I find I stop reading blogs where the fonts are too small and when the page is too cluttered.

  20. April 19, 2010 / 10:10 pm

oh my gosh lol! that one about you falling off the bike is so scary. and hehe, i like that you and your brother (and your cat!) have rhyming names. how cute. 😀

That is a really cute photo of you and your husband by the cube! I don’t know how you guys make it through the UofM – OSU game, it must be brutal! I am such a sore loser, it would not be pretty. My best friend went to MSU and we don’t ever talk about the games, we literally pretend it isn’t happening, lol.

  28. April 20, 2010 / 6:08 pm

Congrats and OMGOSH! I can’t believe how crazy it is that your parents and parents-in-law met before! Hahaha, that’s really amazing!
