Holly is one of those friends who can always put a smile on your face!  Her blog is always so full of interesting and random finds and for the year of 2011, she will be celebrating a holiday EVERY DAY, how cool is that?  She leaves the sweetest and longest blog comments, is so fun to talk to on twitter, and have you seen all of her knit goodies (if you haven’t, you are about to)??  They are sooo lovely and will keep you warm!!  Let’s get to know her just a little bit better…

{MEET THE KNITTER}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself.
Oh I’m so bad at describing myself!  Haha.  I’m addicted to knitting, I love David Bowie, eating olives & guacamole, and I would rather hang out with my boyfriend Keith & my dog Squirt (and be knitting, of course) than do anything else in the world.

2) When did you start knitting? How did you learn it?
I wanted to learn how to knit ever since I could remember, so my Nana would always try to teach me.  But I’m left handed, so I would try to reverse it and just end up getting really confused. Then someday in high school I decided to search online to see if I could learn how to knit left handed any easier, and it seemed that almost everyone suggested to just learn how to knit right handed.  So I went back to my Nana and learned how to knit – right handed!  With her help and some videos I found online, I learned how to knit & I was hooked!

3) I love how your blog post titles are always an interesting fact! Where do you get the facts from?
Haha when I first started blogging (which actually wasn’t that long ago!) I had such a hard time coming up with blog titles.  They just all seemed so BORING. I couldn’t come up with anything interesting or eye catching, so I decided to start using random facts! I just googled “weird facts” and used what I found, haha.  I’m hopingto find a book filled with random facts & use that, but so far I haven’t found any good ones.

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Ohh this is hard, haha.  I love cookie dough ice cream, and a few years ago I remember going into Ben & Jerry’s and finding Oatmeal Cookie Chunk!  It was AMAZING.  Unfortunately in Canada we don’t have many Ben & Jerry’s flavours in the grocery store, so I can only get it when I go to the States.  I also love mint chocolate chip, and cotton candy!  Ooh and Super Kid, ha!  I’m not sure if Laura Secord is a Canadian place or not (I think it is?) but they have this GREAT flavour called Super Kid.  It’s bright blue, pink & yellow, haha. It’s banana, blueberry & strawberry.  Delicious!   (Gahaha I like how my answer to the question about ice cream was longer than my answer to anything else!)

    I’m in love with that Sycamore scarf…oh, it looks SO soft! I also think the camellia cowl would look great with the charcoal coat I just ordered.
