Dear Austin,
I can’t believe how fast you are growing, this week you gained a WHOLE POUND! Mommy even keeps worrying that you are gaining too much weight now, but the nurse said you are right on track. In terms of feedings, things are getting better daily. Mommy is producing more milk each day which means we get to supplement with less formula each day as well. Once or twice a day your Grandma or your Daddy will even bottle feed you! We recently bought the Dr. Brown bottles hoping that it will help reduce the amount of air you gulp, but you still seem to be gulping a ton and then getting frustrated because you need to burp before being able to drink more. I realized that when you are calmer and drink more slowly, you don’t seem to have that issue though, and hopefully you’ll realize that soon too!
This week Aunt Rena and Uncle Alex came to visit you and you only had a minor meltdown in front of them. We’ve started to do some more tummy time with you which you actually don’t mind! But I’m sad to say that this was the last full week with Grandma (your Lao Lao) in town and I know you will both miss each other dearly until she comes back in March. You just love cuddling with her in her arms. However, next week you will finally get to meet your other set of Grandparents (Ah Ma and Ah Gong)! Until then… be good! 🙂
Love,
Mommy
It seems like just yesterday that my baby was that small!! He is 11 months and I can’t believe how fast time flies.
Austin s adorable. I’m sure everyone is loving all over him. We use the dr. Brown bottles and our baby never has to burp. Love it!

i loved having my mom around when i first had my kiddos. i don’t know what i would have done without her. Glad you have both your mom and mil helping out. that’s a blessing.
what a sweet boy! I love that lion blanket he is laying on!
And isn’t it amazing that he’s already a blog celebrity? What a sweet letter Sandy, Austin is such a cutie.
he is SO big! looking at him is just SO amazing because us blog readers knew him before he was even born!
Such beautiful photos! He’s gorgeous! xxx
Noah had issues bad with air and gas so we switched him to using the playtex drop ins and they have helped tremendously! It’s amazing how much they even calmed his fussiness.
One of my babies had problems with gas and throwing up so she was hospitalized for a week. I was told that she’s super sensitive and has baby acid reflux. I use only Dr. Brown bottles with them so if they don’t burp then I was told to hold them in the burping position for about 30 minutes for everything to go down. That helps a lot with gas, throwing up, swallowing air. My baby still swallows air and starts crying so she has to burp a couple times to finish one bottle. Also try seaweed soup. It helps a LOT with milk production. =)
Adorable your baby boy! I just found your blog via Melissa from So about what I said, and I just love it! I’m following you, as new mom myself, I simply love hearing about other blogger moms.
So sweet! Can’t believe it’s been three weeks already!
