{MEET KELLIE}
1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you decided to open up shop?
I opened my shop because I was looking for dolls my Filipina nieces , and Asian dolls are hard to find. So set out to make my own, not just Filipino but anyone wanting an Asian doll, thus the name The Rice Babies. I have now made all sorts of custom dolls. You can find me in the January issue of Stuffed Magazine!
2) What are some of your favorite color combinations?
My favorite color combination at the moment is Yellow and Teal, but I often love red and turquoise. Most anything with a shade of blue.
3) You are a mama of 3 boys with another baby on the way, what’s your top advice for expecting mamas? 
The best advice I can give for expecting moms, is the advice I didn’t take with my first born but quickly learned with my second…that is….. SLEEP when the baby sleeps. Also, always have an extra bag in the car with wipes, diapers, and a change of clothes for the baby.
4) What’s your favorite holiday dessert?
My favorite holiday is dessert..Hmmm. Being from the south I love Mississippi Mud cake. It’s not a traditional Texan Christmas dessert but due to it’s richness I only allow myself to have it once a year, and Christmas is a perfect time.

I think the ABC banners are my favorite things in her shop. What a cute idea. I’ve been thinking of doing that in a slightly different way, by putting the letters onto individual banners, but I think having the letters by themselves makes a bigger impact.
