Sandy a la Mode / Kid to Kid Dresses

Sandy a la Mode / Kid to Kid Toys

My little girl is already 6 months old and has gone through 3 different clothing sizes.  It’s always so sad that they grow up so fast and can only wear their cute clothes for a few months at a time.  My husband keeps telling me to stop buying clothes for the kids, but I just CAN’T HELP IT.  I honestly love shopping for my kid’s clothes more than my own clothes, and you know I love shopping for my own clothes so that says a lot!  Same goes for toys, feeding items, shoes, etc., they just grow out of things so fast and are always moving on to the next thing.  This is where stores like Kid to Kid can be your new favorite place to buy items that others have already finished using for a steal — and to sell your used items as well.  They’ve got so many different things for kids, like clothes, shoes, toys, stickers, headbands, and even big ticket items like cribs and strollers as well.  Make sure to read on for a GIVEAWAY!

Sandy a la Mode / Fashion blogger / Twelve Little Backpack Diaper Bag

Sandy a la Mode / Fashion blogger / Mama and baby

As you know, I have quite a few bags that I own.  And I love each and every one of them for a different reason.  There’s high end designer bags for fancy occasions, there’s totes, there’s clutches, there’s small crossbody’s, there’s travel bags, but the one that I always have carry with me when I have baby and toddler in tow is diaper bag.  This Twelve Little diaper bag is not just any old diaper bag, but it’s a straight up backpack and I love it. It’s got a lots of different compartments, side pockets for bottles or wipes, and comes with a changing pad too. Even better is that the fabric inside and outside is pretty much water resistant which means its easy to clean if there are messes, and you know full well with kids and babies there will be messes!

If you couldn’t tell, I coordinated me and Vivian’s outfits with some teal/turquoise to go with the backpack, but this color could really go with so much.  It’s such a bright jewel tone color that it can be a pop of color to an outfit as well, and could really work for a girl or boy baby. ;) Continue reading »

This post was sponsored by KFC through their partnership with POPSUGAR Select. While I was compensated to write a post about KFC Popcorn Nuggets, all opinions are my own.

KFC Popcorn Nuggets

KFC Popcorn Nuggets and sides

My 3 year old son is a picky eater. We’re at this stage now where we basically have to spoon feed him dinner sometime because he takes one hour to eat a meal. He likes to look around, talk to us, kick us, sing songs, but rarely does he just like to eat during dinner. BUT, there are certain foods that he will eat on his own, quickly, and a lot of… and one of those things is chicken nuggets. We always find ourselves at the same fast food restaurants that serve said chicken nuggets or buying the same dinosaur shaped nuggets from the frozen section of the grocery store. Can we say Nugget-vention anyone?

KFC  recently debuted their Popcorn Nuggets and we just had to give them a try, alongside some of our staple favorite sides from there. Last weekend, after a morning of running a ton of errands, we needed some food quick because we were getting close to my son’s naptime. We went through the KFC drive thru and got some Popcorn Nuggets combo meals to go so we could eat at home.

sandyalamode bow shirt chanel

Once in awhile I like to go out of my comfort zone and push myself to really style different pieces together that I wouldn’t ever have thought about pairing together.  This way I can continually use pieces in my closet and not feel like I have to buy new clothes all the time.  Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice to have new clothes all the time, but my closets are literally bursting at the seams, one of the bars for hanging stuff is so overflowed that it’s half broken, and I already take up 3 closets and my husband probably wouldn’t appreciate if I took up another closet in the house.  Please tell me I’m not alone, heh.

Anyhow, I last wore this sweater (on the blog) in 2012.  Can you believe I’ve been “fashion blogging” for that long?  Geez. And I’ve actually never worn this skirt before but I love it so much that I just had to rip the tag off and just finally wear it!  I’ve always loved the sweater tucked into skirt look so I had to try it for myself.  I wouldn’t normally have paired a sweater with this fancy of a skirt, but it works, and now I have a new way to style sweaters (which by the way it suddenly took a dip for colder weather these few days so I haven’t put the sweaters away just yet)!
