Sandy a la Mode | Fashion Blogger Graphic Sweater and LuLaRoe Cobalt Skirt

Not going to lie, these photos were taken about a month ago, when it was colder out! It is now in the 70s, but hey, it was snowing last week, so you never know.  I love a black and white outfit with pops of a bright color, like this cobalt blue, or red, or hot pink. You can never go wrong with classic black and white with a pop of color, am I right? Traditionally I would style a maxi skirt with a graphic tee or a button down, but I love it paired with a sweater and statement necklace for those colder days.

Sandy a la Mode | Toddler Meals with Replay

To go along with my Baby Food with Blendtec post last week, I also wanted to share with you how we feed our toddler! I used to post weekly updates on Austin when he was a baby, and I am sad that I don’t post about him enough on here as I really want to use this as a journal to document our lives and as a space to inspire you and your families as well. :) And again, I’m just trying to keep up with my goal of posting at least 1 Mommy/non-fashion related post a week.

Austin is almost 3 and a half years old and is saying words, singing songs, and growing up to be a big boy all too fast in front of my eyes. In the weekdays, he goes to daycare for the whole time we are at work, so once work and daycare are over, we spend about 3-4 hours with him each night before bedtime, of which dinner consists of half of that time, no joke. Austin is a SLOW eater, and that’s not a bad thing, but he gets distracted, and then by the end of the meal, most of his food is cold, but we make him eat it anyways. ;)  How else will he grow muscles, right??

For meals, we always feed Austin with this Re-Play Lorax-Inspired set which includes plates, cups and utensils in 3 fun colors and they are all stackable too. Austin is very ADAMANT about having different foods in each of the 3 plate compartments. Talk about being a threenager, if there is one compartment missing food, tantrum city here we go. We feed him milk, water, and juice occasionally and he is at the point where he doesn’t really need a lid and doesn’t generally have spills (although they do provide no-spill lids as an add on if preferred). And he is pretty comfortable using the fork and spoon all on his own. I love that the spoon is deep for gathering lots of food and everything has rounded edges so it’s safe. His knife skills still need a bit of work, but he is working on it. ;)

For most of his meals, we will feed him some carbs, like rice, noodles, mac n cheese or bread. We always like to have one meat option, like shredded chicken, pork cutlets, etc. And vegetables are also a must – he LOVES broccoli and green beans so that just makes us feel like we did something right, HA!  We make a deal with him that if he finished his food, we will give him dessert.  Dessert usually consists of fruit, crackers or cheese.

If you can’t tell already, I am pretty obsessed with graphic tees, the color mint, polka dots, and my Mu’s Bags. So there you have it, all of those in one outfit! :) But seriously, this Little Black Shirt is super soft, super cute, and just a fun play off of your staple “Little Black Dress”, you know, the one that everyone should own. And this polka dot skirt, is made of sequins you guys. It’s just so super glam and again, I have a STRONG love for polka dots and the color mint, so it’s a win-win skirt in my book. Of course it’s from T+J Designs again, the store I keep raving about lately. Soon enough, I will own half the store, no kidding.

I’m back with this month’s post of the Mama Daughter Style Series collaboration with my good Mama friends with adorable baby girls! This month’s post is all about Spring Shoe Trends for Women with Rack Room Shoes! According to Rack Room Shoes Spring trend shoe style report, jeweled sandals, wedges, bright colored shoes, ankle shoes, and boat shoes are just some of the different types of shoes that are in this season. So for my outfit, I decided to show how I style up jeweled sandals, while my friends Chasing Davies, Lipgloss and Crayons, Sparkling Footsteps and Coconut Robot show off some of the other trends.

Sandy a la Mode | Mommy and Me Fashion Florals and Pink

Sandy a la Mode | Mommy and Me Fashion Florals and Pink

This Mommy and me outfit is all about wearing Spring florals and pops of pink! Pink has always been my favorite color… ever and I just love dressing up my baby girl in it too. And actually it’s currently Austin’s favorite color too so our house is just brimming with pink lovers and my husband is feeling kind of left out (his favorite color is blue for the record).  Anyhow, I am in LOVE with this dress and the gorgeous floral print so so much! It does flatter my figure quite well but I’ll be the first to admit I am wearing Spanx underneath to hold it all in, because this mama belly is still like jelly. Vivian’s little sweater under her romper has a cute little floral print as well and that striped romper with bare feet, I’m in love. :)
