Give Me Liberty Or Give Me Target

If you didn’t know…  the Liberty of London collection debuted at Target stores nationwide on Sunday, March 13, 2010… and now you know! Well, actually, I called my local Target store on Saturday night to make sure that they’d be getting the collection on Sunday and they said they’ve actually had some stuff for a week! The operator and I proceeded to bond over how lovely the floral prints were and she told me that I must come in and take a gander. Apparently this made my husband laugh when he heard myself get all giddy over the phone with a complete stranger, it happens. 🙂 So anyways, on Sunday afternoon after I woke up rather late due to Daylight Savings, I rushed over to my local Target store and actually was surprised to see that things were not sold out or anything.  Here’s what I picked up:

These will be perfect for the imaginary white sewing/craft table in the imaginary crafting corner of our soon to be finished basement. The plan is to have lots of yellows and fun patterns/prints in there! 🙂

Super cute paired with jeans and strappy sandals.

That’s all I bought for now… but I also realized that my Target store did not have all of the Liberty of London collection in stock.  They lacked many kitchen and home decor items!

This will help me make sure my stitches are straight as it will be placed next to my sewing machine on my imaginary crafting table.

And lastly, lucky for me, I was able to peruse the kitchen collection online via Amanda Rae (a Southern California Wedding Photographer whose blog I religiously follow).  She took some AMAZING, seriously ethereal pictures of some of the kitchen items amongst weeds (such a clever idea!) and blogged about them!  And now I’m just waiting… and waiting for my local Target to get these items!!

2-tier tray for cupcakes, jewelry or thread… the possibilities are endless (BTW, isn’t Amanda’s ring collection so lovely??)

three bowl set perfect for future food photographs on my blog! 🙂

What do you all think of the Liberty of London Collection at Target?  Are you a fan?  If so, what did you buy or what are you planning on buying?

Hmm…I think I would like the collection for like, comforters or something, but not all over the house…that would be a little too much. =) Good finds though!

unfortunately, in nyc, all the liberty of london stuff has been completely ravaged by wild animals in any target store within a 15 mile radius (considering I have no car, 15 mile radius is a lot).

i’ll have to wait until I go out of town to check it out, but it looks great!

My wallet is tingling with excitement at those items. Man I want to go see it so badly.. must convince the hubs to stop by. Between and H&M opening this week I am going to have to restrain myself from all the goodies!! Don’t you just love Target?!

they had a pop-up store here in NYC– it was so cute! we were able to buy the items before they came out in stores 🙂 they’re super cute, and for the price its a steal! don’t expect super nice quality though, you kinda get what you pay for…

Terrific, Sandy, and love the title of this post! I hope your imaginary craft area becomes a reality soon and you have lots of these fun goodies to decorate it with. Thank you so much for sharing – it helps to decide which ones to run around town looking for! xo xo – g

Oh, I pretty much love it all! My husband and I went yesterday to look around. I had him set a budget for me so that I didn’t go too nuts. I ended up getting a lovely canister and mug…although I plan on going back to get the prep bowls and maybe a few other things!

I was so excited for the collection, but our Target was already sold out of some things! My biggest score was the lampshades! My husband kept laughing and he totally didn’t understand why it was so exciting. I tried to compare it to a video game release, that helped!

    Your crafty corner sounds lovely!

  22. March 17, 2010 / 7:48 am

Lovely stuff! I’ll have to check out my local Target and see what I can find.

    Sandy,

i bribed my husband to take me to the states yesterday ( sadly no target up here in canada) and i went a little crazy in the store running around and just picking up stuff!

i scored a wallet, a dress, a romper for pia and a skirt for zoe. BUT i could have bought so much more!

  24. March 17, 2010 / 6:56 pm

Liz & I went to Target today and I almost bought that top and another dress, but then I decided I wasn’t a floral person and returned both to the rack :/

  25. March 17, 2010 / 7:49 pm

ooh~ i saw some of the liberty stuff at target! didn’t get to venture all the way to the home section though. you picked such cute things!!
