Meet The Heyday Shop! Friends, by the end of this post, you are going to THANK me for introducing you to this super adorable shop full of fabrics, packaging supplies, handmade goodies and more! The Heyday Shop literally has hundreds of items for sale and you could most definitely spend hours oogling over her shop trying to decide what all to buy. Katie, the owner behind this mastermind of a shop, also has a blog called Curating Cuteness… which is yes, totally cute! And another cool thing about Katie, is that she lives in Taiwan (that’s where my parents are from), geez, I miss that place, A LOT!
{MEET KATIE}
1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you went about starting up shop?
Hello everyone! My name is Katie and I run my little craft supplies and handmade studio The Heyday Shop based in Taipei, Taiwan. I never, not even a moment, imagined that one day my career would have anything to do with the handmade industry! I am professionally trained in magazine journalism and public speaking, which have always been two of my biggest passions – until the summer of 2008 when I discovered the amazing world of fabrics, crafting and handmade. I stepped into this completely opposite world and have been stuck ever since!
2) What is your favorite thing about being a shop owner?
Freedom of aesthetic, definitely! The joy in curating your own collection of items that represent you and your shop tops the experience for me.
3) Taipei, Taiwan is one of my favorite places to visit (since that’s where my family is from)! But if a first time tourist were to visit, where would you take them for sightseeing and eating?
Every visitor to Taiwan must (and I mean MUST) visit the night markets! I think it’s a great representation of the everyday life. It’s a fun mix of local fare prepared by street vendors andaffordable shopping.
4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
It’s a tie between chocolate and green tea. Don’t make me choose!

I’ve never seen the masking sticker set! Where has this been all of my life? I love the fabulous tape but I must admit I never have my non-fabric-cutting scissors around and just hate ripping into the pretty tape. But the stickers! PERFECT
