Dear Austin,
Can you just stop growing for a little bit and stay a baby please? In these past few weeks, we’ve started to call you a “little person” or “little man” instead of a “baby”. You are seriously growing up too fast right in front of our eyes. It’s been awhile since you’ve been to the doctor’s office, but we think you are about 14 pounds now. And you’re really starting to give Mommy’s arms a run for their money. In terms of clothing, you are on the brink of being too big for 3 months clothing and wearing some clothing in 6 months size already! The Petit Singe onesie was given to you by Mommy’s friend, Amy, who lives in Paris. So having a picture with your Daddy (who is a monkey in the Chinese zodiac) and your brother JoJo was kind of mandatory. I love my 3 little monkeys soooo much!
When we first put you in your Bumbo chair a few weeks ago, you weren’t a huge fan. But lately, you’re getting more and more used to this chair. You love to lounge in it while your neck muscles grow stronger. 🙂
During this 14th week, you also celebrated your First Easter. It was the perfect chance to dress you up in all things bunny. Bunny ears, bunny onesie… and you got to play with all your bunny friends. Your Grandma and Mommy joined in on the fun as well.
You also had your first Zoo visit with Audrey and Wesley! Although you were too young to appreciate it, we hope to be bringing you back to the Zoo often as you grow up! You also got to meet Uncle Bryce and Kurt this week too, Uncle Bryce was back visiting from Australia!
During week fifteen, we discovered Peek a Boo as our new favorite game to make you giggle. You are a serious giggle monster, and we can’t get enough of it.
You had a play date with one of your best friends, Wesley. Wesley is a boy, but is confident enough already at 5 months to wear pink. He loves to roll over and that’s one of the milestones we hope you meet soon!
We’ve come to the Conclusion that you love to play. Playing with other babies, kids, adults… even if you are way in need of a nap, you’ll stay up to play. As you grow up, that’s something we may need to discipline you on. Homework first, play second. Work hard, play hard. OK, I think I’m getting ahead of myself here. Anyways, I love you to pieces and don’t stop giggling! 🙂

aww, love all the pictures! I can’t wait for Audrey and Wesley to have another play date with Austin. Wesley can definitely teach him how to roll over! He’s rolling over like crazy, makes it so hard at diapering and changing clothes. Be prepared with all these little adventures when Austin is ready to roll over! OK, he’s rolled from my bed’s head board to foot board now, but I put a pillow at the foot board, so he’s comfortably leaning on that pillow.
