Today’s Blog Every Day In May prompt is to share what you are struggling with and I just wanted to highlight two things.

1) Weight Loss
My weight is something that I’m constantly struggling with.  Ever since I’ve graduated from high school – my weight has fluctuated in a 25 pound range (excluding when I was pregnant).  When I started college, I gained the “freshman 15”, sophomore year I went on the South Beach diet and lost that weight, junior/senior year I gained it back.  When I started my job, I gained another “freshman 10”.  For my wedding, I lost about 25 pounds.  During my honeymoon, I gained 5 of that back.  And before I became pregnant, I had gained 20 more of that back.  During my pregnancy, I gained about 35 pounds and after I had my son, it took many months to get down to pre-pregnancy weight.  And now, I’m about 10 pounds less than pre-pregnancy weight but still want to lose 10 more pounds and MAINTAIN that weight.  I realize that this probably would have been way easier to explain if I just told you my weight, but I’d rather keep that to myself.  😉  Recently, when I’ve been home, I’ve been going to Bootcamp and TurboKick workouts about 3-4 times a week.  I love it and I definitely think it’s helped contribute to my weight loss.  But the HARDEST thing for me to do, is to change my eating lifestyle, especially when I travel.  Last week when I was in California, I wanted to eat all the good food they had to offer and literally drank boba tea every night (it’s like 1000 calories in a drink haha)!  I plan to continue to resume my workouts this week., but I know that I’ll always be struggling with wanting to lose that 10 extra pounds… and if I ever get there, I’ll be struggling with trying to maintain it!

2) Getting Enough Sleep
Working a full-time job, being a Mama to a toddler, and a part-time blogger… means there’s never enough time in the day to get all the things done that I want!  And that usually means that sleep will get compromised as I usually go to sleep late (after midnight) but need to wake up when the toddler wakes up (usually 6AM).  And sleeping in is NEVER an option, those days are LONG GONE!  The only real solution to this is if every day had 26 hours in a day, that would be my ideal.  😉
