I feel a little bit like a broken record, but we are slowly but surely settling in to our new home and city in the Salt Lake City area!  We are taking things one step as a time, as we have time, while also trying to soak up the wonderful Summer and get acquainted to the new places to eat, see and visit as well.  We still have about 1/2 of our boxes to unpack (including many that house my clothes and shoes, eeks), we’re in the middle of the daycare hunt, we test drove some cars (3 row SUV or minivan is the debate), and we’re waiting to finish baby sister’s room last… but it really will be no time before she gets here!

One thing I have realized about the Salt Lake City/Utah area is that there are a TON, I mean a ton of start up shops, clothing shops, handmade shops, etc. in this area as well as millions of bloggers as well.  It’s really nice to be surrounded by a community of empowering entrepreneurs, of which many of them are women as well.  Lilac Clothing is a women’s clothing store that I recently discovered in this area, that I fell in love with!  They’ve got pieces for maternity and non-maternity (really all stages of a women’s body) and they even show how a pregnant and non-pregnant woman can wear the same piece!  It’s really great to have clothes that you can wear for before, during and after pregnancy, versatility is always key!  Because a women can never have enough floral in their wardrobe, this floral top I’m wearing is one that I know I can wear for years and years.  It’s got some beautiful colors in it and is the perfect piece for future pattern mixing as well.  And these linen shorts are so perfect for HOT HOT 90 degree Summer days like we’ve been having as they are breathable and comfortable.  If y’all haven’t checked out Lilac Clothing before, you should, they’ve got some great classic pieces that are great for mixing and matching!

Love that you tied the bottom of your blouse; it makes the baby bump so cute!

I hate moving so I can’t imagine it with a little one and one on the way. I hope you get situated and feel at home soon!

GAH! I can’t believe you live there! I lived in Utah. You need to go to The Pi and Cafe Rio. Everyday. For me.

You are too cute. Also, yes so many start up companies. So many cute cute places to go!

Hi Sandy! Just want to chime in and say that we have a Honda Odyssey and LOVE it. We thought about getting a 3 row SUV but it is definitely too tight for the grandparents to sit comfortably. And for the SUV, once you put in the last row, there is like no trunk space. Good luck with the decision!

Sandy, I love Neutral Shorts because you can style them in so many ways. Your Sandals are Gorgeous and I own similar ones which are real leather and quite comfy too. The floral blouse is so pretty and I love how it envelops your pretty baby bump. =)

Hi there! Do you know if they make any plugins to protect
against hackers? I’m kinda paranoid about losing everything
I’ve worked hard on. Any tips?
