I’ve always thought that meal planning was a great way to get organized for the week. Do grocery shopping on the weekends, defrost meat the night before cooking, and try to plan your meals so you use up veggies/fruits before they go bad. But the best thing for meal planning is making sure you have your ingredients and recipes together before cooking! Thanks to The Craft Begins, who shared this wonderful website of recipes translated into artwork, They Draw & Cook, here’s my meal plan for today! 🙂
Breakfast
Lunch
Dinner
Midnight Snack
OK so maybe I’m not really planning on making all of these today… but aren’t these illustrations just so artistic and cute?? If you are an artist, designer or illustrator, you can send in your recipe artwork to theydrawandcook@gmail.com and it may eventually get published in a book, how cool is that?? I wish I could submit one of these too but my artistic abilities are confined to stick figures, I kid you not!! If you’d like to see more amazing recipe artwork, make sure to check out They Draw & Cook blog!
This is so cool! Thanks for sharing this
this is super awesome. i love these artworks and your plan. it’s close to lunch break and i’m dying here for a good meal :-))
so cute!!! i want to come to your house to eat!!! : )
oh this is so adorable i can’t stand it!! and what a great idea too, i love that. i’m all about that veggie thai right now…mmm 🙂
This is too cute!! And hilarious! I love that the Kim Chi artwork points out that it ” = stinky” ! That reminds me I need to try Kim Chi. Ever since Anthony Bourdain went and made some on his show I’ve been highly intrigued.
Love the eggs in the breakfast drawing! They’re trying to help cook too 😀
Excellent post. I’m going to have to check out that blog because I’m definitely the kind of person who needs pictures!
i love this!! so creative and what a fun way to display recipes. the kimchi one is right on with the stinky depiction! thanks for sharing!
what cute and adorable illustrations 🙂 totally put a smile on my face. any food with a smiley face is so cute. hehe. xo.
..you know what ? this is the coolest idea what I have seen lately ..honestly ..that is so great ..the pictures are wonderful but the idea behind that are just so original and inspirational ..also it’s great way how to learn kids about healthy eating and cooking ..
..I always plan my shopping because I like to know exactly what I will cook every day and I hate to waste any fruits or vegetables ..the old bread goes to the birds in the park : ) always ..
love those illustrations , mayb will do few myself ..
have a great evening : )))
That would definitely be a busy cooking day. Those drawings are just adorable. 🙂

I am especially in love with the smoothie one…although the ingredients are questionable. Avocado? I’d need to be convinced.
