{MEET LINDSAY}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself.

I’m a twenty-something college student currently living in Portland, OR. I’m originally from northern California, but I’m loving it here in Portland and am slowly making it my home! When I’m not swamped with school work, I love to just put on a good movie and craft craft craft! I mainly stick to sewing and crocheting, but I’ve been known to bust out the hot glue gun every once in a while! I also love to play the guitar and go for a nice sunny bike ride whenever I get the chance!

2) What inspired you to make such pretty things and start a shop?

I’ve been crafting since I was pretty young, my mom used to crochet and my grandmother always sewed. It was simply a part time kind of hobby, but then I got a job working with kindergarteners at a daycare and my favorite part was doing arts and crafts with them! Kids can be really inspirational and creative, and I always loved to see what kinds of things they would come up with. There’s such a whimsy when it comes to children, and I drew inspiration from that, particularly little kid accessories (the girls would always wear flower clips in their hair). I thought to myself how can I make grown-up versions of these? Eventually I had gotten such nice feedback on the things I made that I decided to start selling them on etsy!

3) If you could travel to anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Italy! It’s always seemed like such a gorgeous and romantic place, and I would love to see Venice or Rome (like a true tourist)! Not to mention all the yummy food!

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?

It’s always changing but right now I’d have to say mint chocolate chip!

{GIVEAWAY}

Lindsay is giving away an Autumn Breeze Flower Headband!  This felt flower headband is made from soft yet thick wool felt, hand-cut and hand-sewn by me. The flower is made of layers of rhubarb, mustard, and cream colored felt, with sequins in the middle and green leaves underneath. It is securely sewn together and attached to a black elastic headband.  So pretty, ain’t it??
