{MEET AMANDA}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and your blog.
Hey y’all! I’m Amanda and I blog at Royal Daughter Designs. I’m a country girl from the Lone Star State, making a home (and farming) with my sweet husband on our eight acres. Late last year we tried our hand at parenting, welcoming three boys (ages 10, 11, and 15) into our home for five months. It was during that time that RDD was born – as an attempt to be able to work from home while ministering to our foster boys.

I guess I’d classify RDD as a “Christian Lifestyle” blog. I’m a bit of a rebel – and never have taken the advice of the professionals who say that I need to “find my niche”. At RDD you’ll find tutorials on how you can beautify your blog, recipes, and my own chronicles of country living.

3) What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Definitely the friendships I’ve made. I know, if you’re not very involved in the blogging community, you really don’t understand how that can be – I’ve been there. But over the past six months I’ve developed some amazing friendships through blogging, and let me tell you – those friendships are more than just “online friendships.” They’re real. They’re worth it.

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
Cinnamon. Haven’t had it? Mix a little ground cinnamon in with some vanilla ice cream – it’s super delicious!
