Impossibly Cute Photo Contest

A little bit about this outfit.  It’s got four trends that I love.  Colorblocking, white denim, neutral wedges, and chain necklaces.  It kind of makes me want to go on a cruise.  And YAY for it finally being Memorial Weekend where wearing white is finally acceptable (not going to lie, it never stopped me from wearing it this year before today HA).

And ummmm no, I am not that vain.  This blog post title is not referring to myself, but rather, it’s referring to my little one.  And the last picture in this post that I have submitted in to the Babble Impossibly Cute Photo Contest for May’s Theme of “Mommy and Me”.  Marvin and I have a little competition going on to see who can make Austin giggle the most.  You see, it all started with this video a few months ago.  From the first time we heard his giggle, it was like music to our ears (cliche, I know, but so true).  Marvin and I are both the youngest in our families and we never really grew up around babies, so baby talk and all those weird things people do to entertain their babies does not come natural to us.  So we run the gambit of doing silly things to make Austin laugh… such as hopping around like a bunny, making farting noises, drawing on Austin’s face while making “swooshing” noises, playing elevator “up” and elevator “down” with him, spinning him around in a glider, playing peek a boo, and really just making the weirdest faces ever.  Once one of us finds our “thing”, it’s like hitting a pot of gold.  We have to be careful though because Austin is a smart one, he makes sure we switch it up every once in awhile.

    I have one dress with orange & blue together too.The dress is so eyes-catching until sometimes I have to match with some neutral colors to “cool down” the orange & blue.

    I have shoes similar to those but I’ve only worn them once because they are so high! Yours look great!

    Aw! You look cute and so does he! We love trying to make our youngest laugh. Sometimes it is the strangest things. He always cracks up when I am changing his body suit and I pull his arm through the arm hole. That is hilarious to him!
