Fall family photos in the Utah mountains

Today I am another year older, yup, it’s my birthday! In the past, I used to do birthday giveaways, go out with friends, etc. but this year it’s going to be pretty low key. I am in the middle of the busiest two weeks of work in awhile and being away from my family and home for 11 days (with just being home on this weekend in between) is tough.

I’ve been keeping all these photos a secret for awhile now and just wanted to share this recent fall family photos in the Utah mountains that we took with Kandice Breinholt. From the moment I saw her work, I knew I had to be a part of it. We’ve lived here in Utah for 1.5 years now and the future is unknown. We will have to make a decision pretty soon here though if we are planning to go back to Kansas City or stay here in Salt Lake City. It’s a big decision weighing on our hearts right now, but no matter what we choose, what’s best for our family is most important. 🙂 But for now, we are taking in and enjoying all the beautiful scenery that Utah has to offer. These photos were taken at Albion Basin in early October. It’s basically at the top of the mountain and seriously so breathtaking. I can’t wait to hang one of these up in our house and use them for Christmas cards!

I thought our outfits went well with the mountain scenery and were great colors to use for fall. Here are some more details on what we wore.
