Mommy and Me Style: Lace Halftees and Trouser Skirts

Mommy and me Spring style

Whew, it’s finally Friday, who else is excited? This week has been pretty busy at work, haven’t had too much time to blog, and my parents are in town! I’m excited to be able to take the weekend off and explore more of SLC with my family. We are thinking of going to Antelope Island or the Salt Flats or something touristy like that. 🙂

For this mommy and me style look, there’s just so many pieces of the outfit that I have to talk about. First, do you see that little lace detail on the sleeves? It’s a Halftee and I swear I want every single Halftee in every single color in my wardrobe. They are basically like shirts you can wear under other dresses or shirts and come in so many sleeve and neck and color and style varieties. Seriously though, I used to have a huge pile of white tank tops that I would rotate through wearing. And sometimes when wearing a tighter outside shirt, the tank top would get bunched up underneath it or it would get untucked from my pants. But the Halftee solves both those issues and I’m so grateful for that (and you can take 20% off with code SANDYALAMODE20)!

And for Vivian’s outfit, well the pairing of a trouser skirt with knee highs is a must and I am just dying over that little straw tote of hers. She doesn’t own a lot of bags yet… but oh will she ever if she takes after her mama. 🙂

Her smile is so cute. And she’s looking so curious. Lovely outfit.

You two are so adorable! I love those socks. My daughter has already developed a purse addiction too… whenever we leave the house, she has to stop and grab her purse (which is full of binkies, toys, jewelry and cards/money she’s pilfered from my wallet). Watching their personalities develop is so much fun!
