{MEET TRANG}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you opened up shop?
I love to create and design! Cooking and baking has always been one of my passions. Often times I’d bake for friends and family. Then I got requests for making cake pops/cakes for baby showers, birthdays, and bridal showers/weddings! They all loved it and suggested I should open up a shop!

2) What are your favorite color combinations?
My favorite color combination is Purple and white.

3) What are your favorite activities to do with your little girl?
Vivienne and I always have a great time with arts and crafts as well as baking. She loves being mommy’s little helper!

4) What is your favorite cake flavor?
Red Velvet! mMmMm

1) What are you looking forward to this Summer?
I cannot wait for hot summery days that end with eating dinner on my deck with my husband and friends!

Right now my favorite color combination is coral and gray… or coral and navy… or coral and anything, actually.

3) What is your favorite clothing store?
I have so many favorite clothing stores– but I think my all-time favorite has to be Nordstrom.

{MEET JULIANNA}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and how your shop began?
being that we are a full time military family, numerous times we have had a family member overseas many times and we wanted to find creative ways to send homemade gourmet desserts that would ship well and be truly something that couldn’t be found in iraq/afghanistan a taste of something homemade, in america, a taste of home…thus the jar cake was born.
now we have also created our gourmet marshmallows, which ship fabulously and are long lasting. we ship constantly to military members in iraq, afghanistan, japan, germany. for every military order, shipping to an apo/fpo addy, no matter how small we ship it in our largest shipping box and load it FULL of tookies delectables for them to share and enjoy at no extra cost. this is our way of saying thank you to our amazing military for bravely serving our country.

2) What is your most popular item?
it would definitely be our jar cakes “)

3) What are you looking forward to most this summer?
family- time, cutting fresh flowers for indoors, cooking outdoors!

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
mmmm….ben and jerrys half baked!!

I’d like to introduce to you one of my April Feature Sponsors whose shop is geared towards parents and itty bitty babies, Hugs & Kisses Designs.  This shop is full of burp clothes, diaper clutches and bibs with super cute modern prints as well as prints geared towards baby and nurseries.  My fave item is the custom art silhouettes and of course had to get one for my little A!  I sent in the following picture to Becca (a picture of Aunt Stephanie holding Austin) and Becca worked her magic and created this awesome silhouette of Austin.  When I saw the proof come across my inbox, I totally squealed with delight at how much it really looks like my little one. 

{MEET BECCA}

1) Tell us a little bit about yourself and how you started up your shop?
hi friends, i’m becca! mama to two beautiful little boys – cayden and sawyer. & wife to one amazing husband – jeremy. i’m a graphic designer during my 9-5 and a creator of items for itty bitties during late nights/weekends. several years ago (five, maybe?), i asked for a sewing machine for my birthday. that sewing machine? it scared me. so i locked it away in a closet for several years. in may of 2009, we welcomed our first son into the world. and something sparked inside me to pull that sewing machine out and try to make something for cayden. so i did. after several attempts at different items, i decided that the quality was awesome. hugs & kisses was opened later that year. since then some items have come and gone. but i love where the progression of the shop has taken me.

2) What is your favorite thing about being an etsy shop owner?
being an etsy shop owner is such a gift. really. it’s so fun being able to make things for other people to treasure. even cooler? when those things are purchased from people you’ve never met. it’s just very rewarding to think that people want to purchase items that you’ve made with your own hands. plus also? being able to let my creativity run a little wild in a completely different way is really awesome. relaxing, if you will.

3) What is your favorite thing to do in the Summer?
being a fair-skinned, freckled red-head, most would think that i avoid the sun like the plague, but the beach is absolutely one of my most favorite things about the summer. we only live about four hours away from the nearest beach and definitely try to get there at least once a year. i love the sound of the waves. and now that we have two itty bitties of our own, i can’t wait to see what memories are formed during those weeks at the beach.

4) What is your favorite ice cream flavor?
i have no idea how to answer this one with just one flavor. if i’m sharing with my husband, cookies & cream, hands down. if i’ve got my own? mint chocolate chip! (the hubby doesn’t do mint & chocolate together. i know. it’s a travesty.)
