Today I have a special treat for you guys. One of my fabulous sponsors, Jigsaw London, is here with a guest post with some must have Autumn and Winter fashions. So for all those out there that are just beginning to do your cold weather shopping, let this be your guide!
At Jigsaw London, we pride ourselves on creating timeless pieces for every woman’s wardrobe that are built to last and stay current throughout the seasons. We want to create perfectly balanced basics and delicately crafted, special pieces that are effortlessly chic and on-trend without ever being too “trendy.” But that doesn’t mean we don’t love to follow the trend forecast and create clothing that hits the target for what’s hip and happening for fall.
Autumn and Winter are our absolute favorite seasons, mainly because of the rich color palates, chunky separates, and pretty party pieces that suddenly take center stage on the streets. Here are a few trends of the season that we simply adore and are itching to start wearing…
Layers. It may seem like a no-brainer for winter, but this year we especially smitten with layers…Lots and lots of layers! Since weather across the world seems to be increasingly unpredictable, this trend is just as smart as it is chic. Weather it’s pairing some soft chunky sweaters over my summer dresses, or cascading wool ponchos over long sleeve tees and jeans, layering can be fun, functional and always fashionable.
Get the Look: 1. Wool Bravado Scarf 2. Knitted Beanie 3. Wool Poncho 4. Rice Stitch Cardigan 5. Layla Boots 6. Straight-leg Denims 7. Black Twisted Snood
Tom-Boy Chic. Maybe it’s the changing color of the leaves and the brisk autumn wind in the air, but this time of year always reminds us of New York and a kind of “Annie Hall style” of sophistication. Play boy-meets-girl this season by mixing feminine details with tailored trousers and smart dress shirts and tunics.
Get the Look: 1. Finger Print Scarf in Olive 2. Wide-leg Trousers 3. Ruched Shoulder Dress Shirt 4. Black Stag Tribly Hat 5. Slouch Heeled Ankle Boots
Rich Jewel Tones. Rich hues of cobalt, burgundy, plum and teal are all the rage this season and we couldn’t be more pleased! We love adding dramatic color to our ensembles and the selection of shades that are trending right now are incredibly flattering on all skin tones, so you just can’t go wrong. They’re rich, they’re romantic and, in our opinion, rich jewel tones are the essence of the season!
Get the look: 1. Burgundy Twist front Tee 2. Honeycomb Necklace 3. Cap sleeve Knot front Dress 4. Olive Dress in Wine 5. Tano Bag Check bag 6. Tissue Cashmere Crew Neck sweater 7. Silk cotton V-neck sweater in Plum
Though the trends may change, season after season, there is still one that we hold dear year after year – Dress the way that makes you feel happy and you’ll always be on-trend no matter what!
