It’s been 6 weeks of being at home on maternity leave and all the weekdays just blend together. I’m always asking my husband, what day is it today? Monday? Thursday? Who knows! Pretty much every weekday is the same… get woken up by Austin to say goodbye to him before he goes to school, sleep in with Vivian, eat breakfast, shower sometimes, feed Vivian, watch some TV, eat lunch, open packages I receive at my doorstep, take some pictures, organize the kid’s clothes, blog a little, check Instagram, feed Vivian, go out and run an errand maybe, wait for Austin and his Daddy to come home, prep dinner, eat dinner, feed Vivian while Marvin gives Austin a bath, sing songs to Austin and say goodnight to him, feed Vivian, do some blogging/Instagram, exercise a little, go to sleep, wake up for a middle of the night feeding, repeat. I have 6 more weeks of it and I am cherishing it as much as I can because I so don’t want to go back to work, I mean who would!?
Well, both kids have a cold now and we have a big day planned for Halloween. Austin has a parade at school in the morning and the baby and I plan to go if we can make it out the door that early. And in the afternoon we are going to take Austin trick or treating at the mall and then at night he will do some more around the neighborhood while Vivian and I pass out candy at home! This is our first year in this home so we’re not quite sure how many kids will come around, but thinking it won’t be 300 like in our old Kansas City neighborhood, HA! And then November 1… is my birthday! So that is one day that definitely won’t blend in with the others. 😉
