Kileen + Kennedy | Me + Vivian
So I have been really hesitant and nervous about wearing swimsuit pictures and sharing with you all, but with the recent trend in #mombod and being PROUD of the mom body you have, I decided to share. Your body changes after pregnancy and child birth, but instead of being upset about it, moms should embrace it. Our bodies carried little tiny humans and THAT is just amazing. My body carried and gave birth to two beautiful children. My body has definitely changed after Vivian (my feet grew half a size – they didn’t with Austin’s), my boobs are saggier and flatter after nursing, my hips and thighs are bigger than ever, and my mom pooch is stubborn as can be and won’t go away. Again, I am being vulnerable by putting myself out there, so if we can keep this space positive, I would appreciate it. If you have anything negative to say, please don’t say it at all!! 😉 If you’ve been following me on Instagram, you know that I’ve been going to Pure Barre workouts lately and trying to cut down on the sugar (although this one is proving to be a little bit harder). My body will probably never be the way I truly want it to be, like the way it was when I was 21 HA, but I’m not beating myself over it, so neither should you! If you are a fellow mama out there, I hope this message inspires you to embrace your body and love your curves.
But babies in swimsuits? Seriously, let’s just all look at Vivian in these pics please because I DIE! I can’t get over her little baby swimsuit, jelly sandals, sunglasses and headband. This was her first time at a splash park and I already can’t wait to take her back. Let’s just say that I already know that she is a more daring baby/child than my son, which could be good and bad ha! Why didn’t I think of taking her to splash pads earlier this summer? I hope we still have at least one more month of warm weather! Also, I want my children to remember me playing with them in the water when they grow up (instead of having a fear of wearing a swimsuit!), just like I took Vivian to this splash park (although she won’t remember this exact time, she had SO much fun and I plan to keep taking her back to pools and beaches as she grows older)!
Both our swimsuits are from Kortni Jeane. First, I love that they have suits for me and Vivian, that’s a definitely plus! They are located right here in Utah – which is pretty neat. And they have such a huge collection of top and bottom styles in a whole bunch of different colors and prints! High-waisted bottoms are seriously my fave this summer, if I’m wanting to wear a 2 piece.
My outfit:
Swimsuit Top c/o Kortni Jeane
Swimsuit Bottom c/o Kortni Jeane
Cardigan: Forever 21
Sandals: J.Crew Factory
Sunglasses: Subsidy Shades
Vivian’s outfit:
Swimsuit c/o Kortni Jeane
Sunglasses: Janie and Jack
Headband: Think Pink Bows (this is the most versatile headband EVER and such a good price too!)
Sandals: Old Navy {similar}

You both look AMAZING! You are totally rocking that suit – not a single thing to be embarrassed of! But I feel the same as you after having my second baby in two years. Things pretty much returned to normal after the first but not quite so after the second pregnancy. My Little One has the same jellies that Vivian is wearing. She almost wore hers for this week’s post, too. 😉 ———– Amy @ http://thegiftedgabber.com
These are some of the most gorgeous photographs I’ve ever seen! The colours as so vibrant, the focus perfect and you both look so colourful and pretty, especially your daughter with her mini swimsuit, jellies and sunglasses. This post totally made my day! Never mind that your body isn’t perfect — we all have issues with our bodies and we’ve just got to learn to dress it to make it look its best, which you are great at already! Keep up to good work and that includes posting such great photographs. I wish I cold clone your photographer…and live somewhere with eternal sunshine.

Sandy I think you look GORGEOUS! Seriously, I think it’s awesome that you shared these photos because they’re beautiful and you look great! Vivian is too precious too in her adorable swimsuit. I need to be more proud of my “mom bod” too–I rarely even put on a swimsuit!
You both are adorable and I love the kimono!

Adorable! You look great, and I love that swimsuit on you! I need to try a retro bikini for the high rise bottoms. After having twins I’ve come to realize that my body will never be the same, but I actually love it more. Although I’ve been doing the 21 Day Fix, I’ll always have a little extra skin on my stomach, but it reminds me of what a proud mother I am! I should take my boys to a splash park, I think they’d love it!

You look great! and yes to the #mombod! Never be the same but totally worth it for our tiny humans. I love the way the high waist looks on you, and who doesn’t love a good black and white with a pop of color?
There is no room for negativity…you look beautiful! The shots are fantastic and I love the cut of the suit on you.

You have NO reason to be hesitant because you look amazing! You should be proud. I love your suit. The bottoms are so cute, and I love that the top is pink instead of being a matching print. Can I get an amen for a little more coverage in bottoms lately?!

I have four children and my youngest is 1. I can COMPLETELY understand where you are coming from. With each child and the older I was when I had them (my oldest is 14), the harder it got to get back to my normal size. I gained 50+ pounds with each child and started my pregnancies at 125 lbs. It was really hard. I would eat right, work out and nothing ever changed. Breastfeeding actually hindered my weight loss and I would feel like such a failure because it seemed so easy for everyone else!
You are right–we as mothers and women really need to start appreciating our bodies for what they can do–not just what they look like. You, my friend, don’t need to worry. You look dynamite in this adorable suit and, of course, your daughter is just as adorable as ever! THANK YOU for sharing your beautiful photos!
You look adorable together. Lovely!

The more we accept our bodies, the more we can get on with the enjoyment of living, fully living our lives without fretting about our shape. You’ve exactly the right attitude and your little girl is very lucky that her Mum approaches life like this. And I love your high waisted bikini bottoms and the retro vibe of them. I too prefer high waisted ones.

I think you look amazing and your little one is just too cute for words. I totally agree that we need to be proud of our bodies, especially after carrying and giving birth to human being! Love the tie-up on the swimsuit bottom. I love seeing your pictures because you always look like you’re having a good time.
