How To Say Thanks To Your Deliver Drivers This Holiday Season!

Thank you to Walmart+ for sponsoring this post, all opinions expressed are 100% my own.

‘Tis the season of giving and also giving thanks!! This time of year is crazy with an increase in package deliveries. A few years ago, I started putting on snacks and drinks on my front doorstep as a “Thank You” to my hard working delivery drivers and I’ve done it every year since! I’ve actually become friends with some of them, since I see them quite often all year round. 😉 So I just wanted to share this idea and my setup, in case you are wanting to do something similar at your home!

I used my Walmart+ membership and got unlimited free delivery from my store ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.) of a variety of chips, granola bars, fresh fruit, water bottles and soda. I set everything out on a table, snacks in a bin and even made a little sign so my delivery drivers know that they are much appreciated! If we run out of anything, I know that I can easily go to to grab any refills I need. And while I am placing an order, I can also grab myself any last minute groceries or ingredients for a recipe that I need as well as last minute gifts with free shipping, no order minimum (Excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges.).

Here’s a recap of the benefits of a Walmart+ membership!

  • Unlimited free delivery from your store ($35 order min. Restrictions apply.)
  • Free shipping, no order minimum (Excludes most Marketplace items, location & freight surcharges.)
  • Member prices on fuel
  • Mobile scan & go

A Walmart+ membership costs only $98/year and you will totally get your money’s worth!

Oh I love this! I was wanting to do something for my delivery drivers but had only thought of handing them a snack and drink, but what if they didn’t like it or I wasn’t home to do it? This idea is absolutely perfect thank you as it lets them choose. I generally know ahead of time which day(s) I’m expecting a delivery so I can just put out the items on those days if I was worried about passers-by or something like that. This is a neat idea year-round, not just for the holidays, so I could just do something similar to your sign but without the “Happy Holidays” part of it. Thank you for a great idea.
