Sponsor Love – A Spoonful of Love

**

A few weeks ago, Shawni from A Spoonful of Love, and I became really close blogging/twitter buddies.  In fact, she’s the one who introduced me to the Scarf Swap and from then on, I knew she was cool.  Shawni and I have so much in common such as our love for crafting, cooking, and bargain shopping!  🙂  On her blog, she posts about her fabulous cooking concoctions, what she is reading, her art journals, her fashionable finds, inspirations, and she really is just a straight up sweetheart!  And isn’t her blog name soo cute?  If you’re curious about how she got that name, read more about her here!
1) What inspired you to start blogging?

I started blogging because I missed writing. I had a Tumblr account at first, and most of my posts were very sad. I was going through a hard time in my life and just really needed a space to vent. i kept a lots of things private, but I did enjoy most of what I was getting out. I started my blog spot with my friend Liz’s help. She has a great blog and I was just really inspired by all of the things she showed me. My other huge influence was Keiko Lynn’s blog. I loved seeing her outfit posts daily and as really inspired. I decided to do a little cooking, a little reading, and a little fashion for my blog. I am really enjoying sharing me life and meeting inspiring ladies in the process.

2) How did you come up with the name “A Spoonful of Love”?

I was really excited to start my blog, but I didn’t want to do so without having a great name and a layout to go with it. Together Liz and I brainstormed. I have this wooden spoon that she bought me in the shape of a heart, that was pretty much the inspiration. She knows I love to cook and that I have a really big heart that I want to share with the world. It pretty much fit perfectly.

3) What is your favorite thing about blogging?

I would have to say it’s just the creative process. Getting to write and share pictures with people all over the country and now even the world. It’s really exciting to hear what others have to say in response to what you have shared. I have been very lucky to have some pretty great readers. They share love and advice with me, I couldn’t be more excited by it all.

4) Where is your favorite vacation spot and why?

My favorite vacation spot so far was Italy. The country is so rick and full of culture. I had chills pretty much the entire time.

5) I heard you were thinking about opening an etsy shop soon!  What items are you planning on making for it?

I am planning on opening my store at beginning of November. Cross your fingers. I am hand crafting bookmarks. Reading has always been my favorite way to relax. I try and read a book each weekend. Just because that’s what makes me happiest. So I decided to make a few book marks one Saturday and they turned out pretty well! Liz encouraged me to take it a step further. I am still working on a name, but I have some pretty great ideas.

Don’t you just love her??  Make sure to go follow Shawni’s blog and twitter to get more daily updates of beautiful happenings, crafts, fashion, recipes, inspirations and so you can keep tabs on her opening up her shop in November!  😉

Love her blog name! It’s so true, but I think a good name is an important ingredient for a successful blog! And I totally relate to using blogging as a means to vent during a tough time. For a while, I had an anonymous blog where I did just that. I realized how much I enjoyed blogging, but I wanted to go public…that’s when I started The Maddy Chronicles 🙂
