We’re Having a Boy!

[polldaddy poll=5221880]

Well friends, here are the final results from the Guess Our Baby’s Gender poll and I must say, you guessed WRONG haha!  We just had our second ultrasound last Friday (at 18 weeks) and after 20 minutes of taking pictures and measurements of our squirmy little one, we found out we were having a boy (and it was quite obvious I must say).  You know what though, I had a feeling it was going to be a boy because the Chinese Gender Calendar said so, I didn’t have any morning sickness, and the ring over belly trick said boy too.  Or maybe it was mother’s intuition kicking in already.  Yeaaaaa, right.  Anyhow, I’m such a crazy planner that I’ve already started dreaming about what the nursery is going to look like.  Can’t wait to start buying all the furniture and decorations for it (yea, hubby is getting nervous)!

Anyways, it’s  been a busy few days lately (including a switch over to a bigger server last night – sorry if you tried to reach the blog and it was down) so I’ll leave you with this.

Here’s a baby picture of me and of Marvin.  So curious to know what our little baby boy is going to look like!

Do you look more like your mom, dad, or a straight up mix?

    Congratulations, Sandy!
You will absolutely LOVE having a little boy {coming from a mom of 2 little boys}. But, if you were having a little girl, you would love having a little girl, too.
Whatever the sex, as long as the baby is healthy.
You will enjoy being a momma, Sandy … and you will be a great one!

awwww, congratulations!! i know when it comes to actually being pregnant there is not preference to what sex the baby is, but i hope for a boy. wishing you a wonderful & healthy pregnancy! i always thought i looked more like my dad because i have his darker skin tone and brown hair (my mom’s is bright red), but recently my brother posted a photo of he and my mom when he was a baby in 1979. my mom is around the same age i am now and we look exactly alike! it’s crazy. and i’m even getting more and more red in my hair. kinda like people do with strips of grey except mine is red. it’s kinda freaking me out. haha.

  8. July 27, 2011 / 12:48 am

  23. July 27, 2011 / 9:07 am

I am so so excited for you!

I’m always told I look way more like my dad’s side of the family. Actually, my dad’s sister has been mistaken for my mom on multiple occasions. But I have my mom’s eyes =-)

  24. July 27, 2011 / 9:25 am

Yay! I can’t remember what I guessed, but I’m so excited for you! If your baby pics are any indication, you’re in for one pretty adorable little dude!

I look alot like my mom at first glance, but I think I have alot of my dad in me too. It’s hard to tell, cause my dad has had a beard my entire life. I do have his feet for sure! 😉

Congrats Sandy!!! I’m so happy for you and Marvin! I looked more like my mom than my dad. You and Marvin both looked so cute as a baby so without a doubt, I’m sure baby boy is going to be just as cute …if not cuter 😉

I’m currently 14 weeks into my pregnancy and have some questions. Did you have to go for a screening test to determine if baby is going to be healthy? such as amniocentesis? I’m a little worried.

  26. July 27, 2011 / 10:09 am

    eeeeee!!! Congratulations Sandy!!!!!!
I look like a mini version of my mum. {Except I have brown hair and she has blonde.} When we go out people are shocked to hear that she is my mom, people think she is my sister. 🙂

  27. July 27, 2011 / 10:53 am

CONGRATS! Boys are soooo fun. I love their silliness, wildness, adventurness, braveness, and much more. And the way a son looks at his mama in adoration…awesomeness. Congrats, friend!

  28. July 27, 2011 / 11:40 am

Congrats Sandy! that is so exciting!

  29. July 27, 2011 / 11:47 am

Congratulations!! I’m so nervous about finding out the sex of my twins. I’m hoping for at least one girl (*crossing my fingers*)! We find out in 2 weeks. Eek!

  30. July 27, 2011 / 11:52 am

Congrats on your little boy!!! So exciting!!!

I look exactly like my mother, basically the same face, the same body type. The only difference is she has blue eyes and blonde hair and I have green eyes and brown hair. And I never stop teasing her about “not giving me” the blue eyes! I love blue eyes with brown hair so bummed I didn’t get them. Her entire family has blue eyes it is crazy. I blame my father, haha! But if it weren’t for him I wouldn’t have skin that tans well and doesn’t scar easily, so I’ll forgive him I suppose.

I am a mix of the two in one respect, my hands look exactly like my mom’s but they are small like my dad’s (my mom’s hands are bigger than my dad’s), so they pretty much look like a mini version of mom’s hands.

It is going to be so much fun to see your little one grow and be able to pick out little traits of you and Marvin in him!!

  31. July 27, 2011 / 12:35 pm

Woo hoo! What an exciting day for you and hubby 🙂 You were both cute babies! I totally look like my dad, and my brother looks like my mom. My hubby looks more like his dad, but I can see some of his mom’s features in him. I’m curious to see what our baby will look like.

  32. July 27, 2011 / 12:40 pm

HAHA ours was obvious too! I could tell before she told us!! That will be fun for us to both have boys!! We can bounce ideas off each other! So excited for you Sandy!

  33. July 27, 2011 / 1:43 pm

Oh how wonderful! I look like my dad, uncle, and male cousin, which is not cool being a girl and all….

  34. July 27, 2011 / 1:50 pm

    i think i’m a straight-up mix for sure. i can’t wait to see him!!

  35. July 27, 2011 / 3:27 pm

  45. July 29, 2011 / 4:19 pm

Congrats, Sandy! I know some people like to wait and have it be a surprise, but I think it’s fun knowing too. And I definitely look more like my mom than my dad, and it drives me crazy sometimes.

  46. July 30, 2011 / 1:01 am

I look more like my dad, but I think people say I look like my mom because we both have long dark hair, and we’re women.

  47. July 30, 2011 / 3:27 pm

Woooooooo woooooo woooooooo! 🙂 I had a feeling it was going to be a lil’ boy! 😉 hehe. Congrats!!

  48. July 31, 2011 / 1:13 am

Awww, congrats on the future little boy! I definitely resemble my mom more than my dad!

  49. July 31, 2011 / 2:17 pm

oh congrats on finding out it’s a boy! i never understood how people would want to wait to know. i would definitely want to be able to plan properly for a boy or girl {i mean, i would want to be emotionally prepared more than anything}. also, i’m a pretty straight up mix of my parents. even my ears are different! one is the same as my mom’s the other my dad’s.

  50. July 31, 2011 / 3:47 pm

Congrats love on your big news! How exciting is this!! 🙂
