Embracing the Bump

Dress c/o Soon Maternity | Button Down: Target | Belt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Payless Shoes | Necklace: Oh, Hello Friend

Hey friends!  How was your weekend?  Ours was filled with sleep, laundry, tidying up, going out to eat, and enjoying the still nice weather.  It’s crazy to think that Thanksgiving is next week, y’all.  I guess it hasn’t really hit me because usually I’d be starting to think about travel plans to go back to either Michigan, Ohio or California to visit family but this time I can’t travel.  Guess we’ll just be sharing a turkey between the three of us and maybe buying a 60″ TV for Black Friday since we’ll be in town.

We’re SO close to baby being full term now (I’m 34.5 weeks, full term is 37 weeks) that I’m getting a ton of mixed emotions lately.  Excited to meet our little one, scared about how labor is going to go down, nervous to see how our lives are going to change, anxious to begin this new chapter in life.  But in the mean time, I’m embracing my big belly and all of the perks, like extra massages from hubby, coworkers giving up their chairs to me at team meetings, and getting an extra slice of pizza at Sam’s Club b/c I’m eating for two.  😉

What are you doing to get ready for Thanksgiving?

I can’t believe you’re already close to full term – it feels like just yesterday you were announcing you were pregnant!

And you really look AMAZING Sandy. You are the definition of a pregnancy glow.

  8. November 13, 2011 / 6:33 pm

Sandy you are so adorable!!! I love that first photo! You’re just beaming! But how are you wearing heels??? I refuse to wear them for fear of falling and hurting baby. I think the last time I wore heels was when I was like 14 weeks =P.

I understand the getting anxious for baby to get here thing. Totally feeling that right now as well. And yet, super nervous as well. There’s still so much left to do.

Oh you look so beautiful!! Love how the belt accentuates the baby bump.

  28. November 14, 2011 / 8:25 am

Sandy, you look so so beautiful. I know how you feel. I know that feeling of nesting overdrive, panic and excitedness. All I can say is.. prepare yourself mentally for your labour in that, anything can happen. Also, write down your labour plans and give it to your hubby so that if you can’t tell the nurses, he can. If you go in with no preconceived fantasies of a perfect birth, then whatever happens is just a very wonderful beautiful experience. Plus, you will be surrounded by amazing experienced nurses and doctors! Can’t wait to see your newbie Sandy!
